ÉPOPÉES

Lou Cantor
Compagnie Ulysse & Ernest

Arrivals from elsewhere, they came to France – today, yesterday, or a long time ago – with their experiences, their language, their culture. They had to integrate, without ever forgetting what nurtured and built them. Their fragments of displaced lives convey the wealth of human sagas.

After training at the National Center of Contemporary Dance in Angers, Lou Cantor has performed for Olivier Dubois, Dominique Brun, Gaëlle Bourges, Mickaël Phelippeau and Béatrice Massin. With her company founded in 2019, she works with people who have little or no access to culture, such as in prisons with Les Danses du Crépuscule, or with the inhabitants of Bagnolet in La Vie Mode d’Emploi, commissioned by The Rencontres Chorégraphiques Internationales de Seine-Saint-Denis in 2023. The same year, she created the second part of Epopées at Manège of Reims - scène nationale, an adventure that began in 2018.
