Mounia Nassangar

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎

A body projected backwards, as though in slow motion, followed by a slow rebound. Through swift and magnetic gestural language, five women dancers explore the different emotional states experienced after a traumatic incident, to reveal the scares and the forthcoming resilience.

‎ ‎

An international waacking icon, Mounia Nassangar is a choreographer, dancer and DJ, as well as an actress and model. She has been dancing since the age of five, and practices popping, locking, new style, house dance, dancehall and street jazz. In 2019, the Ma Dame Paris collective, of which she is a member with Sonia Bel Hadj Brahim and Josepha Madoki, presented the piece Oui, et vous? In 2022, she organized the Waack in Paris festival at Gaîté Lyrique, Carreau du Temple, during Nuit Blanche Paris and Defected Croatia. In 2023, she founded her own company and made her first choreographic work, S.T.U.C.K.
